The questions filling my inbox this morning are all the same. Will Jackie Evancho be lip synching her semi-final performance tonight on America’s Got Talent? Personally, I think the AGT producers have learned their lesson and will pull back on their audio magic tonight. What do you think?

1.) Why has my server (Colossus) been up and down over the past 4 days?

=> There was some urgent maintenance work going on in the server “Colossus” and because of that, you faced the downtime. The issue has been solved now and no further loading problem will be there.

2.) What is the issue and when will it be resolved?

=> As I have already said, the issue has been solved and hopefully you will not face any further downtime now onwards.

3.) Do you put the low end $2.95 accounts on the same servers with Business accounts?

4.) What method do you use to allocate CPU % to my Business Hosting Account?

The issue yesterday regarding page loads and massive network latency has returned today only worse than before. This is starting to effect my development timetable. It looks like I’m going to have to pull my banners advertising their services.

Update: 3:33pm Eastern: I just received this from CenturyLink’s Twitter guy:

“We had a power outage at a major data center & the backup did not bring the system back up. Should be back up this evening!”

Goodbye little Jackie! I’m crying myself to sleep.

Was she voted off? No. According to Jackie Evancho’s “handlers”, the AGT opera girl, was supposed to have two weeks off between her performances on AGT. That means she should have been on tonight! It appears that she has withdrawn from the competition which is a crying shame. We will miss you Jackie! Take care and I’m sure we’ll see you again in the future once your voice matures a little.

Sites hosted on Pacific Host may currently exhibit extremely slow page times due to network latency issues. I have reported my findings to their support team and they are working on the issue. In other words, websites hosted on pacifichost servers may be slow as molasses until this is resolved.
