I’m So Cold….
MicroGuy | January 11, 2010This pretty much sums up my feeling about the current weather.
This pretty much sums up my feeling about the current weather.
The boys and I attended a Lander University basketball game last night and lucky Wesley made the local newspaper. Look behind the player’s bench (far left).

We just got back from dining at our local Chick-Fil-A restaurant and noticed that the sandwiches are smaller. The fillets used to be slightly larger than the bun and hang over the bun edge (see photo).

Today, none of our sandwiches had fillets large enough to escape the bun. After our meal while requesting a tea refill at the counter, my son overheard an employee commenting about the small fillets as she was placing them in the pressure cooker.
Today, I was checking out Danika Patrick’s website when I heard the song “Wide Open” by the band Cadillac Blue. The song is perfectly suited for Danika and I was wondering, was it written for her? and who is the female singing lead?
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
After much research, I discovered that the only source for information is the group’s Myspace page which contains practically no information on the group. I did learn that the song was co-written by Joe Sins who is married to country music singer Kristen Welch.

Could the lead singer of “Wide Open” be the lovely and talented Kristen Welch?
This is truly a sad day for American broadcasting as one of the last honest tell-it-like-it-is news legends has been forced to resign from his CNN anchor desk. I often wondered while watching his great news program how he had managed to last this long. You can still listen to Lou Dobbs on his radio program and streaming live over the Internet at www.loudobbs.com
Thank god we still have the internet to get our real news.
Sitting here wondering why David Letterman often opens his show by first walking over to stage-right and momentarily leaning against what appears to be a structural beam with his back to the audience.
In all honesty, I’m typing this to fill some space at the top of my blog. I don’t really have anything important (or witty) to say, I just got a little tired of seeing that huge photo of the late great Soupy Sales up here. Hopefully my writer’s block will be cured soon and I can return with articles of grit, wit, and southern charm. I did change the font colors of my Adsense code today. We’ll see if it helps with the clickity clicks.
The legendary comedian Soupy Sales died yesterday at the age of 83. The comedian was known for his zany antics and pie throwing slap stick humor. I fondly remember seeing him on the game show Hollywood Squares. Sales recently slipped and fell at a local awards show in New York. His health began to decline after the incident.
In the quest to become so spread out that my work becomes the epitome of mediocrity, I have made another website. There is now a nice little community forum available for people to gather and discuss anything related to Lake Greenwood, South Carolina. Total time invested so far, about one hour.
I’m just as big of a fan of President Obama as the next guy, but come on, winning the Nobel Peace Prize after eight months in office? This guy must be snorting magic pixie dust in the Oval Office. The next thing you know he’ll be nominated for an Emmy for “Best News Broadcast”. Now If only he could manage to dismantle the Federal Reserve System. If he figures a way to pull off that magic trick, I’ll build an Obama shrine in my garage.
