I’ve been locked in my home office for two days building yet another website.  This time around it’s an image hosting platform with bulk uploads.  No more hassle trying to click and select each individual file for upload like the other guys.  I registered the domain yesterday morning and just completed the site “Upload Gator” tonight after slaving away for two days. Time for sleepy time. Night!

Over the past several weeks, my Firefox browser (which I love) has been flaking.  At what appeared to be random intervals, I would receive the following error while surfing that giant cesspool known as the Internet:

A mystery. WTF is causing this to happen!!!!

In order to bring one of my billing servers into PCI Compliance, I found it necessary to upgrade PHP to version 5.3.

After the upgrade, my Apache error.log file came to life with two new PHP errors.  Soon my tiny little error.log file had grown into a chubby error.log file because of these new PHP deprecated errors.   Below, I will show you how to solve two types of errors and also how to suppress the errors if you need a quick “fix”.

My son had nearly $200 in birthday money burning a hole in his pocket.

He really, really wanted a laptop computer and asked me to find him the best computer he could afford.  So this morning I accepted the mission and spent about 2 hours on Ebay virtual window shopping.  I finally found the best bang for the buck and fired up my trusty sniper program Auction Sentry.

I put in my sniper bid and chewed my nails during the closing minutes.  Guess what? I won a Dell Latitude D610 with all the trimmings!

RegisterBird is down, are they out?

This new domain registrar RegisterBird.com has been down for nearly 48 hours.  The new registrar was unique in that is accepted Namepros dollars as a form of payment.  According to the site owner the problem is being addressed and they should be back up soon.  However, there is no excuse why they couldn’t manage to get a simple maintenance page to load during this extended downtime.  To be continued.
